JMP is available at no charge to ISU faculty, staff and students for the Mac and Windows platforms. Linux is no longer supported by JMP. The guides below are for Mac and Windows users. We currently have JMP PRO version licenses for 15.x,14.x,13.x, The current license runs from July 1 through June 30, you’ll need to update the license file annually unless you do a complete. Downloading and Installing JMP

This service is only for K-Staters with a current, valid K-State eID. A completed license agreement form and prepayment of license fees is also required. See the JMP Site Licenses page for details.

Accessing K-State's JMP software-installation site

JMP can be downloaded from the K-State JMP software site via a mapped network drive.

In order to connect to the JMP software site, your eID must be added to the JMP Samba Access List. You will be added once license application and fees are received. If you do not have access and think you should, email the Site License Admin Group to see if you are authorized to be added.

If you're on an off-campus computer, you will need to use a Virtual Private Network to access the K-State JMP software site.

Instructions for PCs
  1. Do one of the following:
    • Right-click My Computer and then click Map Network Drive.
    • Right-click Start, click Explore, click Tools and then click Map Network Drive.
  2. Click an available drive letter.
  3. In the Folder box, type: samba.ksu.eduJMP
  4. Deselect the Reconnect at log-in checkbox to unmap the drive when you log out or turn off your computer.
  5. Click Finish.
  6. Type your K-State eID and eID password.
  7. Click OK.
Instructions for Macs
  1. Click the Finder icon on the Dock.
  2. On the Go menu, click Connect to Server.
  3. In the Server Address box, type
  4. Click Connect and then type your eID and password when prompted.
Installing JMP
  1. Open the downloaded JMP folder.
  2. Open the JMP folder within the downloaded JMP folder.
  3. Choose whether you want JMP or JMP Pro and then open the folder you selected.
  4. Open the 11_2 folder.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • If you are installing JMP on a Windows machine, open the Windows folder and then double-click the setup.exe file to begin installation.
    • If you are installing JMP on a Mac, open the Macintosh folder and then double-click the setup.exe file to begin installation.

Removal of connection

  1. Click the Finder icon on the Dock.
  2. Click the drive you want to remove and then click the Disconnect button.
